This handsome pair of true vintage brown and tan leather lace up boxing gloves which are made by Sykes date from c1930, are straw filled and feature the Sykes, Horbury, England brand label.

Established by a saddler's apprentice in 1870 William Sykes Ltd manufactured leather sporting equipment including footballs and boxing gloves. The company went on to produce a much larger range of sporting goods and later merged with Slazenger and Dunlop.

These boxing gloves look wonderful on display and are ideal for a boxing club, bar, shop etc or just a nice decorative piece of boxing memorabilia for your home gym or man cave.

Condition: Excellent sound vintage condition with some wear and scars from use. There are scuffs, wear and marks to the leather. Please see pictures.
