This antique WW2 lithograph which is of a soldier on the shore is by Snaffles (Charles Johnson Payne), lightly hand coloured, titled Ubique Means (R.K) and dates from c1941.

This interesting print is signed Snaffles in pencil in the border, has it's Snaffles bridle bit blindstamp, marked with Acknowledgements to Punch and is framed and glazed.

The same image would have first appeared in Punch magazine on 24th January 1940 and would have then been turned into a formal print.

The rear of the lithograph has a label that is marked with Artist Proof Facsimile.
