This fabulous antique military riding crop or hunting whip which has a leather covered shaft has brown leather hand braiding to one end and a heavy weighted ball to the other.

This handsome quality WW1 era whip is fitted with a silver hallmarked collar which dates to 1916 and has an engraved inscription which reads..

Date: 1916.

Hallmark: Lion for Sterling Silver. Anchor for Birmingham. Date letter r for 1916. Maker's mark MP.

Dimensions: Length of solid handle: 60 cm (20"). Total Length: 200 cm (79").

Weight: 480 g.

Condition: Excellent antique condition with light signs of use in keeping with age. Some bruises, general wear and scratches. Repair to the end of the whip. Please see pictures.
