This handsome antique English Oak trophy bowl which dates from c1900 has a silver plated rim and is filled with 12 vintage red leather cricket balls.

This antique oak bowl has an unusual design having two ornate silver plated handles which have wood turning decoration, sits on it's silver plated stepped foot and has a vacant shield cartouche on either side which could be engraved if you so wished.

This decorative bowl has a stylish look just on it's own but also makes a handsome display piece with the cricket balls so ideal for a cricket enthusiast, sports bar or prop.

Dimensions of bowl: Diameter including handles: 33 cm (13"). Diameter: 25 cm (9 3/4"). Height to top of handles: 17.5 cm cm (6 3/4").

Total weight: 3.432 kg.

Condition: Very nice decorative condition with signs of use and wear with a wonderful look. Some age related shrinkage. The silver plate has some light wear and light surface scratches. The balls which are various ages and sizes have lots of wear and tear. Please see pictures.
