This French tradesman's sign which is made of metal has a painted green background, has the wording R Ponceau Peintre hand painted to each side in green and red and dates from c1900.

This double sided sign which would have been a French painter's trade sign has a wonderful rustic feel with flaky paint showing years of aging and wear to one of the sides and the other side having a beautiful colour and look.

Being a good size with great colours and patina this makes it a super decorative piece for the home, bar or restaurant.

Could be mounted on a wall by the attached bar or looks great resting against one also.
