This novelty silver plated lidded biscuit box which is by Fenton Brothers of Sheffield dates from c1875 and is in the form of a curling stone sat on four curling brushes.

This Victorian box would have been used for biscuits, has the maker's mark and registered design number to the base of the lidded box which dates to 30 April 1875 and has an antler horn handle fitted to the top to lift the lid.

An unusual Victorian novelty item that would make a wonderful gift for a curling fan.

Condition: Very good used antique condition with light signs of use in keeping with age. Light surface scratches and wear to the silver plate in a few small areas. Please see pictures.
