This handsome Dunlop Golf Hole In One trophy which is made of solid silver is fully hallmarked for 1929 and was awarded to a lady golfer in 1929.
This scarce trophy has Dunlop Golf Ball Hole-In-One Souvenir round the top edge, features a pair of crossed golf clubs and comes complete with a Penfold golf ball.
The trophy sits on it's black base which is fitted with a silver hallmarked plaque that reads: Mrs W Heaton. Clacton on Sea Golf Club. 26.7.29.
An unusual collector's piece and rare to have a lady golfers name.
Material: Solid silver trophy.
Date: 1929.
Hallmark: Lion for sterling silver. Anchor for Birmingham. Date letter E for 1929 and maker's mark BM Co for Birmingham Medal Co.
Dimensions: Diameter of base: 6.5 cm (2 1/2"). Total Height with base and ball: 11 cm (4 1/4").
Weight of just the silver trophy: 24 g.
Condition: Excellent antique condition with light signs of use in keeping with age. Some tiny dings and light bruises. Ball has wear. Please see pictures.
