This antique French Milliner's hat stretcher which dates from c1900 sits on it's wooden base and the top section opens and closes when the metal handle is turned.

These hat stretchers make wonderful display pieces either on their own or by displaying hats and wigs. This one has a very nice patina, has a long handle, displays well and works as it should.

Date: Late 19th / early 20th century.

Dimensions: Length (including handle): 38 cm (15"). Width (including handle): 19.5 cm (7 3/4"). Height: 35 cm (13 3/4").

Weight: 5.07 kg.

Condition: Very good used antique condition with light signs of use in keeping with age leaving a wonderful patina and look. Some small chips, cracks, bruises and age related wear from use. Opens and closes as it should. Some old woodworm which has been treated. Please see pictures.
