This charming Welsh milking stool which dates from the early 19th century has a thick round dished top made from a single piece of sycamore which sits on three turned ash legs.
This special piece of Welsh country furniture which came from Carmarthenshire has great colour and patina with layers of old paint and would be perfect for the home to use as a small stool or side table.
These stools which are referred to as cheese top were used around welsh homes not only for milking but for domestic jobs like spinning.
Material: Ash. Sycamore.
Date: Early 19th century.

Condition: Beautiful rustic used condition with lots of wonderful patina, age related wear, chips, cracks and remains of old paint. Old repair to one leg joint. Please see pictures.
