This fascinating French artificial glass eye which dates from the first half of the 20th century was skilfully hand blown with an Iris and a Pupil blown into the glass.

This vintage glass eye is in one of the early stages of manufacturing with the eye still being attached to the original stalk before it has been cut and then painted.

The original box has the ocularist details on the lid with the Paris address and comes with the prescription details inside.

This rare item would make an interesting collector's piece.
