This handsome set of turned wood Indian clubs or meels which date from the late 19th century have a stunning patination and rich colour.

These highly decorative clubs have turned handles and each one has a weight of approx 700 grams and are approx 53 cm (21") in length.

Indian clubs are a type of exercise equipment used for developing strength. They were swung in certain patterns as part of an exercise program and were popular in the late 1800's and early 20th century. Today these nice items of antique sporting equipment make fantastic decorative home or gym display items and super props.

Weight: 1 is 638 grams and the other is 754 grams.

Condition: Good antique decorative condition with the usual chips, dents and wear leaving a great look. The clubs are slightly different in size and weight. Interesting display items for home decor, bar, gym or decoration. Please see pictures.
