This small antique hip flask which has a detachable silver plated cup and screw top is made by renowned silversmith James Dixon and Sons.

The outer top half of the glass body is covered in brown leather with a sight level on both sides and the small size of this charming flask makes it easy to pop into a pocket or handbag.

A nice antique flask which dates from the early 1900's and is in great usable condition so would make a wonderful gift.

Maker: James Dixon and Sons.

Marks: Marked to base of the cup with J.D & S for James Dixon and Sons with the trumpet mark. Also with EPBM. Made in England. 1/16 pt. 58OA.

Date: c1915.

Dimensions: 10 cm (4") High. 6 cm (2 1/2") Wide. 2 cm (3/4") Deep.

Total weight: 140 grams.

Condition: Very good usable condition with light signs of use in keeping with age. Some light surface scratches and small areas of tarnish. The leather is in excellent condition. Lid screws on nicely with no leaks. The cup slides on and off of the flask well and stays firmly in place. No splits, holes, chips, cracks or breaks. No monogram. Please see pictures.
