This stylish and unusual solid silver Victorian bookmark which is by silversmith Deakin & Francis is fully hallmarked for 1894.

This nice quality page marker has a coronet and ship design to the top half and bears a charming inscription to the lower half that reads: Essie. From KM. April 30 1895. This antique bookmark is also marked with the retailer's name of J. Dudley, Southsea to the back.

A great antique piece by a top maker that would make a fabulous gift.

Hallmark: Lion for sterling silver. Anchor for Birmingham. Date letter U for 1894 and maker's mark D&F for Deakin & Francis.

Condition: Very good antique condition with signs of use in keeping with age. Some general wear, light scratches and slight twisting. Please see all pictures.
