This lovely tactile glass and sold silver spirit hip flask has a detachable silver cup, screw top and is hallmarked for John Linegar, Birmingham 1872. Flasks of this age are a very rare find, 145 years old and it feels wonderful in the hand.

The top seals well and does not leak. The detachable cup is faintly monogrammed on both the front and the back.

A lovely very old usable item that would make a wonderful gift.

Hallmarks: Fully hallmarked for silver, Birmingham, makers mark J.L for John Linegar and with the date letter X with Victoria's Head for 1872.

Condition: This item has been well used and is in patinated antique condition. The cup slides on and off of the flask well and stays in place. The screw top has been very slightly pressed in, has a new cork fitted and does not leak. Some wear, light scratches and all over dings. The glass is in good condition with no chips, cracks or breaks. There is a split in one of the top side seams of the detachable cup but this does not effect it's ability to hold liquids. Hallmarks are slightly rubbed.
