This Victorian spirit hip flask which is made of solid silver and glass is made by top maker Sampson Mordan & Co and fully hallmarked for 1892.

This tactile flask which is in fantastic condition has a detachable silver cup that is gilt lined, hinged flip / bayonet top and feels heavy in the hand.

A very nice and usable antique flask that is 130 years old and would make a great gift.

Hallmarks: Fully hallmarked with Lion for sterling silver. Leopard's head for London. Maker's mark SM & Co for Sampson Mordan & Co. Date letter R for 1892.

Hallmarked to the cup and collar.

Dimensions: Width: 8.5 cm (3 1/4"). Depth: 3 cm (1 1/4"). Height: 14 cm (5 1/2").

Weight: 338 g.

Condition: Excellent antique condition with light signs of use in keeping with age. The lid has been fitted with a new cork seal and closes tightly with no leaks. No splits, holes or breaks. The cup slides on and off of the flask well and stays nicely in place. A very clean and tidy usable flask. Please see pictures.
