This highly decorative pair of antique number 6 Indian clubs which are hand made are an extra large size at approx 60.5 cm (23 3/4"), date from the late 19th - early 20th century and are marked to the ends with John Piggott, London. John Piggott was a large sporting goods retailer in Cheapside, London.

These two exercise clubs are also marked with the number 6 to each, are nice and heavy at just over 1 kg each and have a wonderful look with their rich patina.

Indian clubs are a type of exercise equipment used for developing strength. They were swung in certain patterns as part of an exercise program and were popular in the late 1900s and early 20th century.

These attractive antique clubs make wonderful gym and home display pieces and super props.
