This fabulous Napoleonic Prisoner of War game which dates from c1810 would have been skilfully made by a prisoner held captive during the Napoleonic wars by using materials they had available to them like bone and natural dyes.

This antique game has a carved bone handle with a spike to the top and a small ball which is attached to the handle by a string. The object of the game being to catch the ball on the spike.

These games were very popular in the 18th and 19th centuries and enjoyed by both children and adults.

This unique 19th century Napoleonic Prisoner of War game would make a very nice collector's piece.

Weight: 30 g.

Condition: Excellent antique condition with signs of use in keeping with age. Some wear and marks. Please see pictures.
