This pair of fabulous solid silver Edwardian dishes which are by renowned silversmith Mappin & Webb are of excellent quality and fully hallmarked for 1908.

These unusual dishes are circular in shape, raised on a central stem foot and are wonderfully decorated with entwined serpents on each side which form the handles.

These not only look beautiful on display but are heavy quality usable antiques that make nice collectable pieces for a silver collector. Great for serving olives, cherries and other cocktail garnishes.

Material: Solid silver.

Date: 1908.

Maker: Mappin & Webb Ltd.

Hallmarks: Lion for Sterling silver. Anchor for Birmingham. Date letter i for 1908. Maker's mark MN WB for Mappin & Webb. Also marked to the underside of foot with Mappin and Webb Ltd.

Dimensions of each dish: 19 cm (7 1/2") Length including serpent handles. 14.5 cm (5 1/2") Width. 11 cm (4 1/4") Height.

Total weight for the two: 612 g.

Condition: Very good used antique condition with signs of use in keeping with age. No holes, breaks, splits or bad dents. Some small bruises and light scratches. Please see pictures.
