This handsome spirit hip flask which has a detachable silver plated cup and hinged flip / bayonet top is marked to the base of the cup and collar with the maker's mark for James Dixon & Sons and dates from c1900.

The outer of the top half which is made of glass is covered in a beautiful dark brown crocodile effect leather with a sight level to both sides and the bayonet top cap has a new cork fitted so seals well and does not leak.

This handsome antique hip flask is a nice size, does not have any inscription or monogram so would make a very nice usable gift.

Weight: 452 g.

Condition: Very good used antique condition with signs of light use in keeping with age. Some light surface scratches, marks and a little wear to the silver plating. The hinged lid has a new cork fitted so does not leak. The leather and glass is in very sound condition. Please see pictures.
