This antique French pugilist boxer statue which is of a male bare knuckle fighter has his gloves removed and placed by his feet and is by Louis Moreau.

This boxer figure which dates from the late 19th century is made of hollow cast metal with bronze highlights, is a large size and is signed with the artist's name of Louis Moreau.

This statue sits on it's wooden base that has a painted marble effect and a metal plaque that reads Boxeurs. Par Louis Moreau.

An impressive boxing figure that looks wonderful on display due to it's large size and is an ideal gift for a boxing enthusiast. Would also make a great trophy.

Material: Cast metal. Wood base.

Date: Late 19th century - c1880.

Marked: Signed Louis Moreau. Brass plate reads: Boxeurs. Par Louis Moreau.

Dimensions: Diameter of base: 18.5 cm (7 1/4"). Total height: 49 cm (19 1/4").

Weight: 2.442 kg.

Condition: Very good antique condition with light signs of use in keeping with age. Some light marks, scratches and wear. Old worm holes to the base which has been treated as a precaution. Base sits slightly uneven. Please see pictures.
