This handsome French boxer statue which is of a male bare knuckle fighter with his gloves removed and placed by his feet dates from the late 19th century and is by Louis Moreau.

This rare pugilist figure which is a large size is made of hollow cast metal with a bronze effect finish, signed with the artist's name of Louis Moreau and has a wood base that has a painted marble effect and a brass plaque that reads Boxeurs. Par Louis Moreau.

An unusual item of boxing memorabilia that looks impressive on display due to it's large size and is an ideal gift for a boxing enthusiast. Would also make a great trophy.

Date: Late 19th century - c1880.
