This beautiful and tactile spirit hip flask which is crafted in sterling silver is by renowned silversmith Deakin & Francis who are well known for their top quality hip flasks, has a hinged flip / bayonet top, a detachable cup which has a gilt interior and is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1899. It has two hallmarks to the flask and one to the base of the cup. The bottom of the cup also has the retailer's name Edward & Sons, Glasgow who were a high class retailer.

A lovely high quality item that is in very good usable condition and would make a wonderful sporting gift.

Hallmark: Fully hallmarked twice to both the flask and also the cup with Lion for Sterling Silver. Anchor for Birmingham. Date letter Z for 1899 and maker's mark D & F for Deakin & Francis. The bottom of the cup also has the retailer's name Edward & Sons, Glasgow.

Condition: Excellent used antique condition with just a few signs of wear and light marks in keeping with age. Some very light surface scratches and tarnish. The hinged lid closes firmly, seals well and does not leak. The cup slides on and off of the flask well and stays firmly in place. Some scratches where the cup slides on and off. The hallmarks on the top section are rubbed and can only just be read but the hallmarks to the base are clear. No monogram. Please see pictures.
