This large half gallon copper rum measure has a wonderful mug shape with a large side handle that is attached to the body with rivets and has a tinned interior.
This copper mug is marked to the outer with the Queen Elizabeth II Cipher and 56 to show that this was used as a Royal Naval rum cup in 1956.
This mug holds 1/2 gallon (4 pints) and would have been used as a large rum measure to fill and share out between the crew.
Today, these are very collectable and would be ideal as an interior design piece.
