This pair of impressive antique bronze ewers in the manner of Clodion date from the 19th century and are Renaissance in style.

These stunning ewers are profusely decorated with Bacchanalian Scenes, cherubs to the tops of the handles and fascinating face masks to the bottom of the handles. The main bodies of the urns are decorated with cherubs and vine decoration that enhance their design and style. They are in beautiful aged condition with a wonderful dark patina.

Their large and heavy size make these bronze ewers real statement pieces which look very impressive on display.

Material: Bronze.

Origin: France.

Size: Height 57 cm (22 1/2") approx. Width at widest part 27 cm (10 1/2") approx.

Weight: 6.5 kg each approx.

Condition: Excellent antique condition with light signs of use in keeping with age. Some small marks and dings. No breaks, cracks, chips or repairs. One ewer sits very slightly uneven.
