This unusual watch stand is made of very heavy solid brass, dates from the early 20th century and has a trench art type quality to it which looks like it was engineered on a ship.

The watch stand has a movable brass watch holder and a 1920's Ingersoll Yankee Radiolite pocket watch sits nicely in it. The watch is held in the holder with a screw-on brass back plate.

The watch stand's design and quality suggest that this may have originally been used or made on board a warship or similar vessel at the beginning of the 20th century and it is very heavy at over 2 kg.

A very nice interesting item that looks great on display.
