This handsome antique table top gong which dates from c1900 has 2 cattle horns mounted on an English oak base, decorative metal mounts and a blank central cartouche.
The brass gong is suspended between the two horns and makes a nice loud dong when struck with the striker.
This beautiful and highly decorative gong is a very nice usable antique piece that would look wonderful in a hotel, bar, restaurant or in your home.
The underside of the base is fitted with a makers plaque for John Grinsell & Sons.

Condition: Excellent antique condition with light signs of wear in keeping with age. Brass parts would have been silver plated but most of this has worn away leaving a warm tone. Please see pictures.
