Steam Ship Boiler Room Test Jugs. Art Nouveau Rustic Verdigris Vases.

These two antique steam ship boiler room jugs which have lots of wear and patina leaving a wonderful rustic look with verdigris are made of copper, have wonderful Art Nouveau styling, wooden side handles and would make super decorative vases.

A Salinometer was used in the days of steam engines on ships to find the salt water concentration to determine the heat needed in making steam. These jugs were used to scoop up the sea water for testing.

These nice heavy pieces have a handsome coating of verdigris, great colour and make interesting display vases.

Condition: Well used antique decorative condition with lots of beautiful verdigris and patina. Some age related wear and tear, small bruises. The bottom of one has an old repair to reseal the base. Please see pictures.
