This interesting and rare 19th century colour lithograph plate by George Ellis and George Viner is an illustration of a life size dissection of the throat, showing the muscles and blood vessels.

George Ellis was a professor of anatomy at University College in London. Between 1863 and 1867, together with his artist, George Ford they produced 58 plates. The accuracy of this illustration plate is exceptional and it was printed in colour by Mintern Brothers.

This illustration is nicely framed in a gold frame and would make a very nice collectable piece for a medical professional / medical student and also looks wonderful on display.
