This original antique football is a similar football to the ball that was used in the first half of the first World Cup final between Argentina and Uruguay in 1930.

The first World Cup final saw Argentina and Uruguay fail to agree on which ball they should use, so Argentina’s ball was used in the opening half, and Uruguay’s in the second. The T-Panel is larger and heavier ball than the 12 panel 'Tiento'.

This ball dates from 1930, is made of brown leather, is a 12 panel design and has 5 pairs of lace holes. There is still part of the original leather lace. The bladder which appears to be original is inside but has decayed.

A nice interesting piece of collectable football memorabilia that looks great on display.

Details of the match along with pictures of the original football can be found on wikipedia -

Size of the ball is approx 61 cm / 24" circumference.

Weight: 311 grams.

Date: 1930.

Condition: Well used original antique condition with lots of age related scuffs, scrapes, staining and marks. The leather has dried out and is cracked. The bladder which appears to be original is inside but has decayed so will not inflate. Part of original leather lace is still in place. Please see all pictures.
